11 Tips On How You Can Develop Your Brain To Understand Anything You Read

Hitting the nail staraight on the head, here are some tips for you if you want your brain to understand anything you read :

1. Exercise regularly

This is an intereting part, it can help you fight depression, Well It’s been proven that regular exercise helps to increase brain function and enhances neurogenesis. What this means is that every time you exercise you are creating new brain cells! So Get off your comfort zone and get moving! Your brain will appreciate you for that.

2. Do something new

When you experience something ‘new’ you actually ‘stimulate’ your brain! Stop doing the same old stuff over and over again, you won’t die if you try something new. The only way to change the structure of your brain is to do something new. This creates new neural pathways, increasing your intelligence. You could take a new route to work, try a new recipe for dinner, or even a new form of exercise. So just try it and see how this works.

3. Train your memory

How often do you hear people say “I wish I had a PHOTOGRAPHIC memory!’ Yet no-one does anything about this! If you discipline yourself to memorize phone numbers and other important numbers (Insurance, credit card, driving license) you will start to see a marked improvement in your memory. – TRY THIS IT WORK

4. Be curious

Instead of taking everything in as you are told, try and ask questions like why? how? when? who? e.t.c, get into the habit of By being ‘curious’ and questioning everything, you impose your brain to been innovate & creating new ideas. Don’t do this too much though.

5. Think positively

Having the “I can” mentality will help you to be the best you wish to be, in your studies and your life generally. Stress & anxiety kill existing brain Cells and also stop new cells from being created. Research has shown that positive thinking, especially in the future tense, speeds up the creation of cells and dramatically reduces stress & anxiety. Don’t fail yourself before you see your result.

6. Ban the calculator

Remember back at school when we were taught to use our brains to do simple sums like times tables?! It’s incredible how we now rely on devices like smart-phones and laptops to calculate really simple equations. Resist the urge to work things out using an external device – and use the device you were born with – your brain!

7. Read a book

Reading helps you to overcome tension & stress (brain-cell killers) because it’s a form of escapism. Research has also shown that using your imagination is a great way to train your brain because you force your mind to ‘picture’ what you are imagining. Reading is a great way to trigger your imagination!

8. Get enough sleep

At the point your body goes back to get a new energy to overcome the activity of your day, thereby letting go of the built stress in your system. This is when your body regenerates cells and removes all the toxins that have built up during the day. Get to bed between the hours of 9pm and midnight to benefit from the most effective hours of sleep!

9. Ditch the GPS

Gone are the days of map reading! Sat Nav may have made our lives easier, it has also made our brains lazier and less efficient at the same time! Go back to the old school and use a physical map to navigate every now and then (this exercises the part of your brain responsible for understanding spatial relationships).

10. Please Eat healthy

Our diets have a HUGE impact on brain function. Our brains consume over 20%+ of all nutrients & oxygen that we consume – so remember to satisfy your brain with the good FOOD!

Remember In Everything You Do, There Is God

Pray, Pray and Pray again.

4 ways to manage your difficult assignments

When students are growing in their academic stature and levels, things start to get complicated. Academic journey is not really a bed of roses where you will just wake up, wash your face, attend your classes and pass through semesters after semesters. It requires hard work, passion, dedication and more importantly the willingness to overcome challenges in order to grow academically and learn new things. People who leave their higher education or do not study much are simply the ones who cannot tolerate various academic challenges in their way and somehow suddenly just give up.

Now academic challenges can come in various forms and shapes. Completing a challenging assignment is one of the challenges that students face a lot in their academia. Managing assignments in your academic term is very important if you have to achieve anything. Ineffective assignment management can lead up to an average performance and a possibility of failing in the major courses. Many students try the old cliched way of managing their difficult assignments and utterly fail because they do not find compatibility in those tips with the modern day assignments. Today’s academic blog will talk about four effective ways for students to manage extremely difficult academic assignments like a piece of cake:

difficult task
Focusing on the essence of the assignment
Focusing on the essence of the assignment and ignoring everything else is what can be a smart approach to tackle something difficult. For example, if you have to complete a research paper in Psychology, then do not just keep looking for random content on Psychology. Focus on one particular topic, quickly start gathering reading materials, organize them and get started with writing. Do not ask ten other people about assignment ideas as well. Everyone will have a different perspective so focus on your own understanding of the work.

Collecting samples
What better way to manage an assignment than to see how it is exactly done. Collecting samples of libraries, online websites and alumni can really be beneficial to you. You can actually really see not only the approach to the assignment, the areas to focus on, but also get the idea of how the teacher marked that assignment. What were the points where the most marks were deducted and awarded?  Studying through samples is one of the best ways to manage a really difficult assignment.

Taking assistance
If all else fails, taking assistance from various third party platforms is not really a bad idea. Not only you can get a professional individual to help you manage the work, but also you will really have the right approach towards the assignment, hence saving your time and also your academic grade by simply taking help.

Asking teachers
Above all, talking and interacting with teachers can help you discover different secrets or sources which can assist in completing the assignment quickly. They might tell you a good source to find relevant content rather than wasting time around or they might tell you which specific areas to really focus on in order to get the best marks or grade.
If the teachers are not available, one can even take guidance from their parents or any sibling who is elder than them. They are usually in a better position to teach us how to go about a certain topic, especially if it is of a much advanced level. Try it and you won’t regret it.

The 4 most important departments in the life of a student

the-three-most-important-departments-of-a-students-life

We go through school but school doesn’t go through us -

Ever heard the above statement before? If you have not then you need to pay more attention to motivational speakers whenever they drop by your campus.

The statement is quite true and it is so because many of us give too much attention to just one (usually academics) of the three most important aspects of a student’s life to the detriment of the other two.

A student who wishes to graduate as a winner must learn and gain knowledge as it pertains to each of the three most important departments of a student’s life.

Students need to dedicate much time to learn how to succeed at each of them as they go through school.

These three areas require equal and unwavering concentration. They are:

1. Academics

Your academics are obviously very important.

It is the reason you got into school anyway and any student who wishes to graduate as at when due knows he has to do his best to succeed academically.

2. Financial education

This is department only a few students give a damn about.

You need to understand that financial education is as important as your academics.

What this means is that as you spend time study your academic books, you also need to spend time learning how to make and manage your finances.

Before you graduate ensure you learn how to make money, how to invest and how to manage your cash.

3. Career preparation

Very few pay attention to their chosen future career while in school. And many don’t even have a clue of what they’ll pursue as a career prior to graduating.

You must understand that preparation for the line of work/profession you wish to tow after graduation is as important as your academics and financial education hence the need for you to give time to learning about it.

4. Create time

Lastly, decide now to create time or to include reading materials and books that will supercharge your knowledge of finance and the career you intend to pursue after school.

Your academics, finances and career of intent are the three most important departments of your student life. Ensure you award substantial time to each of them. A combination of how much you know about each of them will be worth more than a first class result.
